Today was the first day in a very very very long time that I nearly cancelled an F45 class – and a Hollywood too.
I felt fine when I woke up, in fact I felt great. I’ve been having excellent sleeps since I stopped drinking and the winter duvet came off. Then I went to the bathroom … or rather I tried to go to the bathroom.
Long and TMI story very short … bunged up. Totally stuck. In absolute agony. I knew I had taken my softening tablets yesterday so all I can do is black coffee and movement (which was bloody unbearable).
But in the end – a little moved. Enough for me to go to class and suffer through – with the support of our most wonderful Coach Loz. Bloody hell I love this woman!

We have a couple of ‘rules’…

  1. Just keep moving. Not everyone can do every exercise perfectly or for the full work time. Do your best, just move your ass.
  2. Just show up. Your pod, your studio, your trainers, will get you through.

So I showed up. It hurt. I didn’t get the points I wanted – but I finished the workout.

And then I talked my amazing guy into a quick lap of the lake to keep up the movement – and so I could have just one more coffee. By that stage, I think I was up to 4 for the day!

Meal One – Breakfast – Shaky Shakshuka (Spicy Baked Eggs)

After my breakfast, I sat on my butt for a bit.
Ken has started watching Skin Wars on Netflix – the talent of these artists is crazy and now I’m addicted too. But then Ru-Paul is a judge and Ru-Paul is just bloody fantastic!

Meal Two – Lunch – Shredded Chicken and Coleslaw.
Tips for new players … buy bagged coleslaw as no one (well not this girl) has time for shredding all those vegetables especially in the summer!

Meal Three – Dinner – Chicken Summer Salad with Kumara and Raspberries

And a note from yesterday’s post, I can say that the watermelon was only okay. So if you can tell me how to pick a good one, I’ll be your best friend.
