Bring a saucepan of water to the boil and add 1/2 cup of white wine vinegar.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
Add the new potatoes and boil them until they are just soft.
Place the potatoes on an oven dish and smash/squash with a heavy glass.
Shake over some olive oil, salt and pepper. Bake for 20 minutes and turn over.
Bake for another 15 minutes or so - until the potatoes are all crispy and golden brown.
